Places are limited so we recommend you book early. Tour dates and locations are as follows:

  • March 20th (am) Manchester
  • March 21st (am) London – this event is focused on our Educational Organisation customers

There is no charge for attending these events and refreshments will be provided. We hope to see as many people as possible attending, so please feel free to pass this email onto all colleagues who you feel may be interested in attending.

Event03 - 04 July 2012 - Higher Education Academy Annual Conference

The title for the 8th Annual Conference of the Higher Education Academy is “Great Expectations – are you ready?”. Higher education is undergoing transformational change throughout the UK and although policies may be diverging amongst the four nations, the principle of students being central is shared. Their expectations of their course, institution and learning experience are rising. Staff and Institutions have their own aims and expectations too. In the year of the London Olympics where competitors have expectations of winning and are preparing to be ready for the challenge we apply the theme to the higher education sector and explore its implications for 2012.

Event16 - 19 July 2012 - AAEEBL 2012 Annual Conference

For the third year, AAEEBL members and eportfolio practitioners from around the world will gather at the Seaport World Trade Center on stunning Boston Harbor for the AAEEBL Annual Conference. Once again, AAEEBL is co-locating with Campus Technology, and attendees will be welcome to attend either AAEEBL or CT sessions. Highlights include:

  • This year we will hold our first AAEEBL members' meeting.
  • This year will also represent the first year for a K-12 Institute to be held all day during the Monday workshop times (July 16).
  • All keynote sessions will be interactive, not "just talks."
  • Concurrent session rooms will be set up in the round, not in ranks to encourage participation.
  • In keeping with the participatory nature of this conference, featured will be approximately 30 poster sessions positioned with a special snack set-up to encourage interaction.
  • By popular demand, "conversations with..." sessions will return presenting opportunities for informal discussion with keynote speakers and other eportfolio leaders.
  • Keynoters will focus on fundamental issues related to learning and influencing policy-makers in education.
  • Our local arrangements institution will be Tufts University.

Event12 - 13 September 2012 - ALT-C 2012 - a confrontation with reality

Pebble Learning will exhibit at the 19th international conference of the Association for Learning Technology.

The conference will focus on:

  • How can learning technology better support the core processes of learning teaching assessment recruitment and retention?
  • What will be the place of open educational resources and other kinds of free shared low cost or informal support and organisation in good provision?
  • How should we respond to learners themselves who are increasingly voluble in their desire for value for money and for effective use of technology?
